Scary Movie     

       Let not the title fool you my friend,fear is the last emotion that you will experience while watching this movie.Diguist,nausea, laughter,guilt are the words that can come only close to describing your feelings as you go through this flick that,according to an HBO filler,is the highest grossing film ever by a black American director.

       If you liked spoofs like Hot Shots ,Spy Hard and stomach churling physical comedy like There's Something About Mary & Me,Myself & Irene this flick gives you ample doses of both these genre's of filmmaking.

       Modern films like Scream ,I Know What You Did Last Summer,The Matrix,
The Sixth Sense and The Usual Suspects are ripped apart to make this absolutely funny movie.The script is loaded with witticisms and oblique and corny references to the stars and their movies.Even the characters are given names based on the characters they are trying to spoof like "Baffy|" and "Brandy".No expense has been spared in making the humour as gross but somehow it manages to fall in the 'absolutely tasteless' category.

       The story, (if you actually want to know about it) starts of with a take off on the Drew Barrymore scene in Scream.Bay Watch's Carmen Electra plays Drew.There is a mysterious 'ghost' wearing a weird mask that changes it's expression as and when it pleases which is responsible for the 'murder'.

       Seven friends earlier had killed a guy in a very funny manner.Presumably, the guy they killed is the ghost and he is now back and after their lives. He begins to bump the group of seven one by one in the most hillarious of circumstances and goes on for the better part of the movie until the surprisingly good and intelligent climax.

       It would help a lot for you to enjoy the film if you had seen the movies that have been spoofed on earlier.The humor is gross on the whole but is littered with gems like
Ghost:Which is your favourite horror flick?
Carmen Electra:Shaquille O'Neals' 'Kazaam'
Ghost:But that's not a horror movie!
Carmen Electra:Yes it is.Ever seen Shaq try to act!!??

       A must see is the way in which each of the actors die.Every character is corny and has his or her eccentricities.Especially the character played by Shawn Wayans who is gay but does not realise that.The lead female Shannon Elizabeth is cute and loony.She's also the babe in Enrique Iglesia's video 'Now that your gone...'

       All in all it's a funny movie if you like physical comedy.A few of you may
find it disgustingly gross but then,hey it's not a perfect world.And a word of warning:DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE WITH YOUR PARENTS.If you laugh at any of the jokes (which inspite of what your sane mind tells you ,you will) they might think that all their hard work in your upbringing and instilling good values in you has gone to waste!
